Just so you know, HU GE is currently my favourite actor for the time being and of course, I have done lots of research about him and this was what I got from the Google!!!!
Hu Ge is an actor and a pop singer. He was born in Shanghai, China on 20th September 1982 and we both share the same zodiac toooooooo-VIRGO!!!!Since he aspires to be an actor, he decided to join the Shanghai Theater Academy and successfully graduated in July 2005. According to Wikipedia, Hu Ge was already on the screen, acting before he graduated and this shows that he has a large potential in his future career.
He first acted in a drama/ TV series called Dandelion in the year 2003 but he got hell-famous in 2004 when he played the lead in Chinese Paladin as Li Xiao Yao, a mischievous young chap, starring along with Liu Yi Fei. If you guys had played a computer game called "The Legend of The Sword and Fairy", FYI the Chinese Paladin drama was taken from this game! He sang two songs for his drama which are June Shower (六月的雨) & Xiao Yao Sigh(逍遥叹) and his song June Shower really rocks!!!!!
After his debut in Chinese Paladin, he acted in other wu xia dramas too such as Liao Zhai, Fairy From Wonderland, Till Death Do Us Apart, The Young Warriors, The Legend of The Condor Heroes and The Chinese Paladin 3 (he acted as Jing Tian). One of his dramas is based on the novel from Louis Cha a.k.a Jin Yong namely The Legend Of The Condor Heroes which is the first novel in the trilogy of the Condor Heroes. The Return of The Condor Heroes and The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre are the prequel novels to this trilogy. I am also a fan of this trilogy and I am trying to find these three novels which are hopefully translated into English because the storyline is fantastic!
Back to Hu Ge now! Hu Ge made his name in the silver screen by acting in several movies like 疑神疑鬼/Yi Shen Yi Gui/The Ghost Inside, 假裝沒感觉, The 601st Phone Call (第601个电话), and The Butterfly Lovers. In the Butterfly Lovers, he acted along side with Wu Zhun from Fahrenheit and Charlene Choi from The Twins. Sadly, he was the supporting actor in this movie as Wu Zhun (Liang Shan Bo) and Charlene (Chu Ying Tai) were both the main actor and actress. Hu Ge is also the spokeperson for an online game called the Fantasy Zhu Xian!!!
Hu Ge is now acting in The Myth (Yes, the movie Jackie Chan acted in!!!) as a guy going back to the past during the Qin Shi Huang reign. For those who do not know Qin Shi Huang, he was the emperor who crazily constructed a large tomb for himself and buried money, jewellery, his concubines and even his people in it because he thought that with all those stuff and people, he wouldn't be all alone by himself in his afterlife. The drama is coming out in Spring 2010 and I can't wait to watch it on the Net!!!
Hu Ge was also involved in an accident on the 29TH August 2006 and he suffered major injuries. His assistant died in the car crash but fortunately, he survived!!!Triple yays for Hu Ge!!!! The accident occured when he was travelling from Heng Dian to Shanghai. He had to undergo some surgery and it took him one year to recover!!! Due to his injuries, the filming of The Legend Of The Condor Heroes was delayed because he was the main actor in the drama!!!!
